1. Operator
BandScribe is operated by Akio Sato as an individual developer. Contact: mimikopi.app@gmail.com.
2. Information processed
To provide requested features, BandScribe may process audio selected or recorded by you, file names, analysis settings and results, your band display name and identifier, band name, invitations, shared songs, messages and read status, public YouTube search terms and results, App Store purchase status and transaction identifiers, and information you provide to support.
3. Cloud analysis
When you choose cloud analysis, the audio, file name, and analysis settings are sent over HTTPS to BandScribe’s analysis infrastructure and MVSEP. MVSEP automatically deletes uploaded audio and generated stems after three days and never uses them for model training. Results can be stored on your device or used within an authorised private band project.
4. Microphone, YouTube, and purchases
Live microphone chord detection is processed on the device and is not recorded, stored, or sent. A microphone recording is temporarily saved only when you use Record, and is uploaded only if you add it and choose cloud analysis. YouTube APIs may be used for search or embedded playback; BandScribe does not download or convert video or audio. Apple processes payments, and BandScribe does not receive card details.
5. Private band sharing
Analysis results, shared-song information, setlists, and messages are provided to members of the selected private band only after you choose to share them. Songs stored on your device are not automatically published to another band. Send invite links only to intended recipients.
6. Service providers
BandScribe uses Modal and MVSEP for analysis, Apple for distribution and payments, and Google / YouTube for search and embedded playback. Each provider processes information under its own terms and privacy policy. BandScribe does not sell personal data, display third-party advertising, or track users for advertising.
7. Retention, deletion, and security
You can delete local song data in the app. MVSEP cloud files are deleted as described above. Band-sharing data can be removed through unsharing, leaving, or deleting a band where those controls are available. Support messages are kept only as needed for support and abuse prevention. Reasonable safeguards include encrypted transmission and access controls.
